Join us for a soul-nourishing retreat designed to help you slow down and embrace the restful spirit of the winter season. Held at the enchanting Florence House, known as "the place where extraordinary things happen," this retreat offers a nurturing sanctuary, inviting you to listen to the quiet call of winter.

Welcome the gentle, mindful movement practices of Embodied Movement, designed to connect body and soul. These practices encourage a deeper connection with yourself and the natural rhythms of the season. Created to support you in inhabiting your body with awareness, they help unravel tension and deepen self-care and presence. Through these practices, you'll meet yourself with compassion and mindfulness, aligning your inner experience with the tranquility of winter.

Relax into the gently profound practice of Yoga Nidra, which offers deep rest and healing. Often referred to as "yogic sleep," Yoga Nidra allows you to access a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. In this space, where dreams come to life, you can awaken a deeper love of life.

Embrace intimate circle gatherings where we come together to share, listen, and connect. These gatherings provide a supportive space for reflection and community, allowing you to drop beneath the day-to-day talk and into a more reflective and awakening space.

Savour delicious, nourishing meals thoughtfully prepared to support your well-being. Our menu features wholesome, soul-satisfying food that comforts, making every meal a nourishing experience for your body and spirit. 

We hold ritual at the heart of all we offer, creating sacred moments that enhance our connection to ourselves and each other.

There will be plenty of time to rest, reflect, and breathe. Whether you choose to rest in solitude, curl up with a good book, or take a gentle stroll to the nearby beach (just a 10-minute walk away), your time is yours to enjoy in any way that feels right for you.

This retreat promises a shoulder-dropping, breath-softening, heart-warming experience that will leave you feeling rejuvenated. Balance rest with gentle activity under the soothing light of winter's embrace, finding solace in candlelight, warmth, and a supportive community.

FLORENCE HOUSE

Florence House, built in the 1920s and beautifully restored, is the perfect retreat venue nestled within six acres of stunning grounds. Its peaceful walled garden offers a serene space for meditation and inner reflection.

Inside, the oak-panelled library, dining room, cosy lounge with a wood-burning stove, and charming rooms create an elegant yet relaxed ambiance. Two hours from London on the brow of Seaford Head in East Sussex, Florence House provides easy access to unspoiled beaches, perfect for stunning coastal walks.

DINING

Florence House is renowned for its creative, fresh, home cooking prepared by their very own chefs. When possible, food is sourced from their own garden. 

We gather at the oak tables for nourishment and the joy of being cooked for, what a gift!

Our menu for the winter retreat is in alignment with the values we hold ~ nourishing, restorative and delicious. 

Special dietary requirements can be met if ordered in advance.

THE REST SPACE

The space we come together to move, rest, breathe and gather in circle. 

Overlooking the South downs, the Rest Space is perfect for our time together.

Carpeted and cosy to hold us in love. 

ROOMS  

Each bedroom is unique and offering a slightly different theme. Rooms offer views over the sea or the rolling hills of the South Downs and private gardens.

Some are single, some are shared. Rooms are allocated on first booked basis.

If you would like to share the room with a friend, please let us know in advance.

What's not included?

  • Transport to and from Florence House
  •  Any other food and beverages outside those listed above. Specific food requests e.g. vegan, vegetarian, gluten free are £5 extra per meal.
  • Treatments - menu will be offered upon booking confirmation

Refund and Transfer Policy:

60 Days or More Prior to Retreat Date:

  • Your payments will be refunded, minus a £150 non-refundable deposit.

59 to 30 Days Prior to Retreat Date:

  • Payments are not refundable but may be transferred to another individual, less the £150 non-refundable deposit.

29 Days or Less Prior to Retreat Date:

  • Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
