Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services, programmes, workshops, retreats, online courses, mentoring, memberships and events provided by Tanya Forgan. By booking or participating in any offering, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About My Work

My work is educational, experiential and trauma-informed. It is designed to support personal growth, self-awareness and embodied learning.

It is not psychotherapy, medical treatment or mental health care, nor is it intended to replace advice or treatment from appropriately qualified healthcare professionals.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, significant mental health concerns or acute psychological distress, you should seek appropriate professional support.

2. Participant Responsibility

By participating in any offering you confirm that:

  • you are participating voluntarily;

  • you accept responsibility for your own physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing;

  • you will communicate any relevant health conditions or accessibility requirements that may affect your participation;

  • you will take responsibility for deciding your own level of participation in all practices and exercises.

You are always welcome to step out of an exercise or take a break if needed.

3. Suitability

Some programmes involve emotional exploration, group processes, movement, meditation, ritual and nervous system practices.

These offerings may not be suitable for everyone. I reserve the right to decline or discontinue participation where I reasonably believe an offering is not appropriate for an individual, or where someone's participation is likely to compromise the safety or wellbeing of themselves or others.

Where possible, alternative options or referrals will be discussed.

4. Bookings, Payments and Cancellations

Your place is confirmed once payment (or deposit where applicable) has been received.

Payment plans, deposits and programme-specific cancellation terms are detailed on the relevant booking page.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • deposits are non-refundable;

  • If cancellation occurs after the balance has been paid, refunds will only be given where this is specified in the individual booking terms.

  • Once a programme or retreat has started, no refunds will be given for leaving early, choosing not to attend sessions, or unused portions of the programme.

If your place can be filled from a waiting list, I may, at my sole discretion, offer a partial refund less any administrative costs, but this cannot be guaranteed.

If I need to cancel or postpone an event due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered either:

  • a full refund of monies paid; or

  • a transfer to a future date.

My liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the affected offering.

I am not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs incurred by participants.

5. Changes to Programmes

I reserve the right to make reasonable changes to programme content, schedules, venues, guest teachers or delivery where necessary, provided the overall nature and quality of the offering remains substantially the same.

6. Group Agreements, Confidentiality and Respect

Creating spaces of trust depends upon the care of everyone present.

Participants agree to:

  • respect the privacy of others;

  • keep personal stories shared within the group confidential;

  • refrain from recording sessions unless expressly permitted;

  • not photograph, film or share images of other participants without their explicit consent;

  • contribute to a respectful, inclusive and non-discriminatory environment.

Confidentiality is expected of all participants, although it cannot be absolutely guaranteed within a group setting.

7. Online Sessions and Recordings

Where online sessions are recorded, participants will be informed in advance.

Recordings are provided solely for registered participants unless otherwise stated and may not be downloaded, copied, shared or distributed.

8. Intellectual Property

All course materials, written resources, recordings, handouts, teaching methods, videos and website content remain the intellectual property of Tanya Forgan unless otherwise stated.

They are licensed for your personal use only.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, teach from, sell or commercially exploit any part of these materials without prior written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I accept no liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in my offerings or use of this website.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

10. Website Content

While every effort is made to ensure the information on this website is accurate and up to date, I make no warranties regarding its completeness, accuracy or availability.

Content may be updated or changed without notice.

11. Privacy

Any personal information collected through this website or during bookings will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

12. Force Majeure

I shall not be liable for cancellation, postponement or interruption of any offering caused by events beyond my reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, venue closure, severe weather, government restrictions, transport disruption or other unforeseen circumstances.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
