Matriarchy

A monthly circle at Sarvanga, Wokingham · 6:30pm – 9pm

A local circle for women

A space to pause, connect and remember the power of gathering together. Rooted in matriarchal values of care, reciprocity, relationship and belonging, Matriarchy welcomes women of all ages, backgrounds and life stages. Each month we gather at Sarvanga in Wokingham to slow down, connect with other women, and reconnect with the wisdom of gathering in circle — an ancient practice as old as womanhood itself.Expect a blend of connection, reflection, ritual and rest: time to check in with yourself and each other, gentle practices to help you arrive in your body, and space simply to be witnessed and held. You don’t need any experience of circle work to join — just an openness to showing up as you are. Join us at Sarvāṅga Yoga Studio, Unit 20, Holme Grange Craft Village, Wokingham, RG40 3AW.

An ever-evolving Circle space for healing, connection, and wisdom. In a world where so many of us feel hurried & disconnected, this is a space to come together, slow down and be nourished.

This Is For You If: You're craving deeper connection with women who truly understand. You feel the pull to slow down but rarely give yourself permission to rest. You're moving through change, grief or transition and want to be held, not fixed. You long for ritual and meaning beyond the everyday rush. You're ready to remember what it feels like to belong.

The Three Pillars of Women's Circles

The Three Pillars of Women's Circles

Circle is one of the oldest ways women have gathered — to be seen, to be held, and to remember what is possible when we come together with intention. It is a space for aliveness, for exploration and for nourishment: a place to slow down, speak honestly, listen deeply, and discover what becomes possible when women gather with intention. Matriarchy is rooted in three things — rest, belonging and remembering.

Rest

Rest is space to slow down, soften, and step out of constant doing.

In circle, we make room to simply be — no agenda to keep up with, nowhere else to be, nothing to prove. Just permission to arrive as you are and let your nervous system settle.

Belonging

Belonging is genuine connection, where every woman's voice and presence matter.

In circle, we are witnessed and heard without needing to explain or perform. There is room here for all of you — the parts you show easily and the parts you keep hidden — and a quiet strength that comes from realising you are not alone.

Remembering

Remembering is returning to the body, to inner knowing, to ancestral wisdom and the power of women gathering together.

Circle is one of the oldest ways women have supported one another — long before us, and long after. When we gather with intention, we remember something older than ourselves: that we were never meant to do this alone.
