Grief is not meant to be carried alone.
Grief belongs to life. It speaks of what we have loved, what has changed, what has been lost and what matters deeply to us.
Through ritual, music, witnessing and community, we make space for the grief we carry, and for the life that continues alongside it.
We do not have to carry it alone.
We live in a culture that often leaves us alone with our grief. There are few places where we can bring the fullness of what we carry, without being hurried towards acceptance, encouraged to look on the bright side or expected to move on.
Yet grief is not something to be fixed. It is a natural response to love, loss and change. And it is not only about death.
We grieve relationships, identities, missed possibilities, the suffering of our communities and the harm being done to the living world.
I believe we need to restore communal ways of tending grief, where sorrow can be witnessed, held and given expression through relationship, ritual and shared experience.
HEARTH
Six weeks of ritual, music, community and grief tending.
HEARTH is an invitation to enter a deeper relationship with grief, in the company of others.
Through music, ritual, reflection and shared witnessing, we create space for the many forms of loss we carry and the love that lives beneath them.

The Village Way
The Village Way is a growing home for communal grief tending, seasonal gatherings and practices that reconnect us with one another and the living world.
At its heart is the belief that grief needs community, and that we can remember and restore ways of gathering that honour both sorrow and life.
A place for what we carry.
Our communal grief rituals offer a space to come together, witness one another and give expression to grief through embodied practice, ritual and shared presence.
We honour grief not as a problem to solve, but as part of our humanity and our capacity to love.
